The purpose of this BLOG is to provide people with up to date information relative to holding a 10 to 15% core position in the Ultimate Money, Gold. The fundamental case made for Gold is its historical role as a hedge against losses in purchasing power of the US Dollar.

Contrary to what the mainstream media would have you believe, things are far from OK in the US economy. I spend a great deal of time researching the current economic landscape and I can assure you that the United States is in “uncharted waters” pertaining to all issues financial.

I rely heavily on the Internet for the vast majority of the information I review. A few of the sites listed amongst my favorites are: www.jsmineset.com www.fallstreet.com. www.dailyreckoning.com www.dowtheoryletters.com . Several of these sites charge for their service, but they are certainly worth it.

The foreign press has a much clearer and unbiased view of the US financial markets. If one is so inclined I would recommend that the next time you are at the news stand, pick up a copy of the Economist or the Financial Times. You will find the level of reporting to be accurate, well thought out and unsettling at times.

I will make it a point to bring to the attention of all any articles, charts and information which are current and have a direct impact on your financial well being. The main focus will be on things financial and I will make it a point to keep political commentary to a minimum. Political issues do have a profound impact on economics and are worthy of mention.
